Hurritrax is an extremely versatile and functional tracking chart, and can begin tracking storms as soon as they form near the Cape Verde Islands off the coast of Africa, or anywhere in the Caribbean, Gulf of Mexico or Mid to North Atlantic. The map shows over 150 islands, countries, cities and towns in Africa, South America, Mexico, The United States, and Canada, with national and state boundaries clearly defined.
Individual longitude and latitude lines are displayed per degree, and a mileage scale and North directional indicator are included.
At the bottom of the chart are directions on how to use the chart, the Saffir-Simpson hurricane damage scale, and hurricane related terms.
The chart is brightly colored and available framed or unframed. Framed charts include a hanging kit. Five (5) sets of different colored magnets are included to track multiple storms, or to track and identify the intensity changes of a single storm.
The chart measures 24 inches by 18 inches unframed. A framed chart measures 28 inches by 22 inches.
Frames are handmade in the USA and manufactured from solid clear New England White Pine. These nautical style frames have a scoop design with a rope inlay, and are richly stained with your choice of oak, walnut, or nautical grey finishes.
