ABOUT HURRITRAX.COM
Hurritrax was founded in early 2003 after recognizing the need for a high quality, deeply detailed magnetic hurricane tracking chart. We were looking for a both formal and informal chart that could be displayed in any home, office, or cottage as both a functional tool during hurricane seasons and an attractive, yet informal wall hanging during off-seasons. We designed the chart during 2003, and the product was launched locally in 2004. The Hurritrax Magnetic Hurricane Tracker has been recognized as the best and most detailed available. Hurritrax.com went online in early 2005 after careful thought and encouragement from friends and associates. Our goal is to help educate the public about hurricanes, hurricane preparedness, and hurricane safety by providing information and links to private, government, and organizational sites devoted to these subjects. In addition, we want to make hard to find storm related products easier for the public to attain.
Hurritrax is located in “The South’s Prettiest Little Town”, Edenton, NC. Edenton is located in Northeastern North Carolina where the Chowan River and Albemarle Sound meet, and has experienced its share of hurricanes throughout the years, including a direct hit by Hurricane Isabel in 2003.
Hurritrax plans to expand its hurricane related products in the future, so check back often! We welcome any suggestions, ideas, or feedback that you have regarding our site, products, or links. If there is a particular item you are looking for, let us know and we'll try to locate it for you. Thanks for visiting!
